The term originally comes from the Latin aperīre and means to open. The aperitivo stimulates the appetite and opens the stomach for the rich dinner.
But that is not the only reason
a tradition deeply rooted in the culture, because it is the time to spend with friends and family
after work and have fun and forget the stress of everyday life.
